myrTissue-Cardio is engineered myocardium constructed from human iPSC derived cardiomyocytes and fibroblasts.
The major difference between myrTissue-Cardio and other approaches is the morphological maturity of myrTissue.
The tissues show important structural and functional properties of postnatal myocardium, including: specifically aligned sarcomeres, increasingly physiologically relevant resting membrane potentials and synchronized, rhythmic contractions. This functional and structural integrity is maintained for weeks.
